Melbourne City Limo case study.

Overview

Melbourne City Limo is a chauffeur and limousine service that needed its operations turned into a product. Digitec Solution worked first as a consultant with the business owner to map the end-to-end project flow — booking, dispatch, driver assignment, tracking, payment and reporting — then translated the client's Figma designs into a production Laravel application. The result is a multi-tenant SaaS platform where each operator runs its own isolated fleet, pricing and branding on shared infrastructure, with a Google Maps-powered booking engine, live rider tracking, and three distinct portals for customers, drivers and administrators.

The challenge

The business was running rides on phone calls and spreadsheets, with no way to quote fares consistently, dispatch drivers, or tell a customer where their car was. The owner also wanted the platform to serve multiple operators — which meant tenant isolation, per-tenant configuration and role-based access had to be designed in from day one, not bolted on later.

What we built

We started with a consulting phase to define the domain model and user journeys, then built the platform in Laravel: tenant-scoped data and configuration, a booking flow with Google Maps address autocomplete, route and distance-based fare calculation, driver assignment and job acceptance, and real-time trip tracking pushed to the customer. Three role-based portals — customer, driver and admin — share one codebase, with the admin side covering fleet, pricing, users and booking oversight. The Figma designs were implemented pixel-accurately as responsive front-end views.
